Love wingspan
Adds extra birds to the game~ buy this after you've bought and played the base game and the Oceania expansion a number of times. Overall Wingspan is one of my favourite games so i would recommend this expansion to see more cute birdies
Rules of Wingspan European Expansion
- Setup: Requires the Wingspan base game. Shuffle the new European bird cards into the main bird deck and the new bonus cards into the bonus deck, and add the extra food tokens to the supply. The purple eggs can simply be mixed in with the rest.
- Goal: Over four rounds, build the highest-scoring network of birds across your forest, wetland and grassland habitats.
- On your turn: take one action — play a bird card (paying its food and egg cost), gain food in the forest, lay eggs in the grassland, or draw bird cards in the wetland. Each habitat's action grows stronger as you add birds to it.
- Bird powers: brown powers trigger when you activate that habitat, pink powers trigger on other players' turns, and the new teal powers trigger once at the end of each round.
- What's new: many European birds reward you for leftover cards or food, and several new powers create interaction with other players' turns.
- End of round: resolve teal end-of-round powers, then score the round's goal by placing an action cube on the goal board. You get fewer action cubes each round.
- Game end: after four rounds, total your points from bird cards, bonus cards, round goals, eggs, cached food and tucked cards — the highest total wins.
