Ultimate Werewolf is an interactive, light-complexity social deduction game for 5–75 players, recommended for ages 8 and up. With games running approximately 30–90 minutes, it features classic hidden roles, team play, and player elimination mechanics as villagers attempt to unmask the hidden beasts.

How It Plays

In Ultimate Werewolf, players are secretly assigned to one of two opposing teams: the Villagers or the Werewolves. The Werewolves try to remain undiscovered while slowly eliminating the Villagers one by one each night. Meanwhile, the Villagers must use deduction and social cues to figure out who the Werewolves are and vote them out during the day phase. A neutral Moderator guides the group through the alternating cycles of day and night, keeping the narrative flowing while roles like the Seer gather critical information to help the village.

Game History

Published by Bézier Games, which was founded in 2006 by Ted Alspach, Ultimate Werewolf has established itself as a classic of the social deduction genre. Bézier Games specialises in engaging tabletop titles that bring large groups of players together for memorable interactive sessions.

Distinctive Features

Unlike more condensed versions such as One Night Ultimate Werewolf, which features brief, single-night gameplay without a moderator or player elimination, the classic Ultimate Werewolf provides an immersive, multi-round experience that is perfect for large gatherings. The inclusion of a dedicated moderator allows for a deeply customisable experience with rich storytelling and tense, evolving social dynamics over multiple game days.
