A third-party organiser insert for the cooperative card game Marvel United (1–4 players, 30–60 minutes, medium-light, ages 14+), with layered trays that speed set-up and pack-away while storing miniatures and expansion content.

About the Game

Marvel United drops you and your fellow heroes into fast, cooperative battles against Marvel's most notorious villains, and this Folded Space insert keeps every piece of that fight ready to deploy. The base game suits 1–4 players, typically runs 30–60 minutes, and offers medium-light cooperative play recommended for ages 14+, built around hand management, variable player powers and shared card play.

The FS-MUTD insert is arranged in up to three layers, including a dedicated tray for seven miniatures on the bottom layer. Many trays can be used during play, greatly speeding set-up and clear-away. It accommodates the base game plus the Tales of Asgard and Rise of the Black Panther expansions, with separate compatibility for Return of the Sinister Six, Guardians of the Galaxy Remix and Enter the Spider-Verse. As Marvel United expanded well beyond its original crowdfunding release, this organiser helps keep the growing collection in one box, and a suggested solution for the Kickstarter Promos Box is also available.

History

Marvel United grew from a crowdfunding campaign into a wide line of expansions, including Tales of Asgard, Rise of the Black Panther, Return of the Sinister Six, Guardians of the Galaxy Remix and Enter the Spider-Verse. Folded Space's FS-MUTD is a third-party storage accessory rather than an official expansion, designed to keep that growing collection organised in one box.

Watch: How to play

Rules of Folded Space Game Inserts - Marvel United

  • Set up: choose a villain and 1–4 heroes; place the locations, villain dashboard and miniature, master-plan deck, mission cards and the required civilians, thugs and threat tokens.
  • Prepare heroes: give each player their hero miniature and unique deck, shuffle it and draw the starting hand; keep tokens and decks in the insert trays if using them during play.
  • Hero turn: play one card to the shared storyline, resolve its text, then spend the action icons from your card and the previous card to move, attack or take heroic actions.
  • Use actions: move between locations, attack thugs or the villain when able, and use heroic actions to rescue civilians or clear threats for the missions.
  • Villain turn: after the hero play for the round, reveal the next master-plan card, move the villain and resolve its effects, adding pressure to locations as instructed.
  • Win or lose: complete the mission requirements and reduce the villain to zero health to win; if the villain's plan runs its course or the heroes are overwhelmed first, the team loses.

Strategy

  • Build the storyline: because you can use icons from the previous card, play cards that leave the next hero the move, attack or heroic icons they need.
  • Stabilise first: early on, favour clearing threats and managing thugs and civilians over chasing the villain across the board.
  • Balance missions: check what all current missions need before spending heroic actions, so the team does not stall on one requirement.
  • Position with purpose: spread out to cover threatened locations, but converge when a concentrated attack or rescue turn is available.
  • Use powers sensibly: variable hero powers and card text can swing a turn, but keep enough basic icons available for ordinary problems.
  • Keep it organised: use the trays during play to keep decks, civilians, thugs and threat tokens within reach, making setup and pack-away faster.
