Exploding Kittens: Recipes for Disaster serves up a frantic game of feline-fuelled Russian roulette: players take turns drawing from the deck, playing action cards and defuses to dodge the Exploding Kitten lurking within, because one wrong draw and you're out. A typical game runs about 15 minutes for 2–5 players, making it a light, laugh-heavy choice recommended for ages 7 and up, built on push-your-luck tension, hand management and player elimination.
Designed by Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal with Elan Lee and Shane Small, the original Exploding Kittens became a Kickstarter phenomenon in 2015, smashing records with more than 219,000 backers. Recipes for Disaster is a deluxe standalone collection: it gives newcomers everything needed for a first game, gathers the best cards from earlier expansions, and adds Recipe Booklets that unlock over a dozen brand-new game modes, so seasoned players can remix the chaos far beyond the base deck.
