About the Game

Buzzed turns any get-together into a raucous drinking game. Players take turns drawing from a deck of 250 cards and reading the prompt aloud — depending on the card, you, a chosen friend, or the whole group takes a drink. The mature, personal prompts are built to get laughs and confessions flowing, so no two rounds play out the same.

Buzzed suits 3–20 players, making it as comfortable at a small kickback as a big party. Sessions are open-ended, typically running 30–60 minutes, and the rules couldn't be lighter — if you can draw a card, you can play. It's designed strictly for ages 21+ due to adult content. Notable mechanics include card drawing and prompt-driven group play.

Buzzed comes from What Do You Meme?, the party-game publisher behind pop-culture hits like Incohearent and New Phone Who Dis?. It packages the classic draw-and-drink formula into a ready-to-go deck, with instructions included. Packaging may vary.

Watch: How to play

Rules of Buzzed

  • Set up: Gather 3–20 players aged 21+, make sure everyone has a drink, shuffle the deck and place it in the centre of the group.
  • Take turns: On your turn, draw the top card and read the prompt aloud to the whole group.
  • Follow the card: Depending on the prompt, you drink, you nominate another player to drink, or the entire group drinks together.
  • Keep it moving: Play passes to the next player, who draws the next card — there are no teams, scores or complicated steps.
  • Objective: There's no winner; the aim is laughs, confessions and a good time, with 250 varied prompts keeping each session different.
  • Ending the game: Sessions are open-ended, typically running 30–60 minutes — stop whenever the group agrees or the deck runs out.

Strategy

  • Pace yourself: Take small sips rather than big drinks — open-ended sessions mean cards can target you many times.
  • Hydrate between rounds: Alternate with water so you can comfortably last a full 30–60 minute session.
  • Know your limits: Agree as a group that anyone can skip a drink or sit out a prompt, no questions asked.
  • Spread the nominations: When a card lets you choose who drinks, share it around rather than targeting one person — it keeps the mood friendly.
  • Set house rules first: Before starting, agree on sip sizes and any prompts the group would rather skip.
  • Match the group size: With larger groups (up to 20), whole-group cards hit often, so factor that into how much you pour.
